The purpose of the FanArt Gaming T-shirts Web site is to provide another means for artists to promote their work, and make a few bucks at the same time. This advertising is two-fold. First, when customers come to the site to scan for Fan Art created with their favorite game in mind, they will come across the artists’ work. Each artist will have a profile page with all of their designs on the page, a little bio, and a spot for links to their own web site, deviantART, or other related site. Secondly, the t-shirts themselves are walking billboards for the artists, plus garner the designers money for each sale.

How Artists make money

There will be three great ways to make money on the site.

There will be continual contests to be won, plus special themed contests related to particular games or events.
There will be an affiliate system in place so that if someone comes to the FGT using a link you provided, with your ID code in the link, you will earn a percentage of the sale as commission for each T-shirts they buy. If it is your design or not!
And finally, for each one of your own designs that sell, you will get a commission too. So if you get someone to buy your t-shirt through your own ID code, you will get paid twice for their purchase (actual terms, pricing and commissions will be laid out in full).

When you join FanArt Gaming T-shirts as a designer – you will essentially become an employee. Fancy that! Actually more like an independent contractor. You will be requested to fill out the provided W-9 form for tax purposes.

How to join

When the time comes, fill out the sign up form.
Submit a design. Note all designs must be finished products of your own creation. No sketches will be allowed. (there will be a whole legal section about designs to make sure we are all protected). FGT has the right to disallow any design if it does not meet certain criteria.
Submit a W-9 form for payment.

Reasons why FGT is a great place to promote your work and make some money

By using FGT to showcase your designs, you will be reaching a larger audience than if you were to go it on your own. Not everyone has the time or know-who to keep a web site going. What makes FGT great is that, not only will FGT be aggressively marketing itself to get as many visitors and customers as possible, but also each and everyone of you is really a sales person too. The more artists that advertise that they have designs on the site, the more chances that a viewer will also check out other designs/designers on the site. It is a win-win situation for everyone. Add to it that if someone else brings a customer to the site and one of your designs/shirts sell, you both will get paid for it. Separate money. No splitting of the funds.
